CDC Reminders on Staying Healthy

Protect yourself and your family

  • Wash your hands with fragrance free soap and water for at least 20 seconds. A good rule of thumb is the “Twinkle Twinkle Little Star” or the “ABC” song, just remember to add the “now I know my abc’s” part *
  • Use hand sanitizer with at least 60% alcohol
  • Avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth with unwashed hands
  • Avoid close contact with people who are sick
  • Wear a facemask if you are caring for someone who is sick

* Frequent washing of hands can lead to dry and cracked skin, make sure to pat your hands dry, leave a small amount of dampness on your hands and then moisturize to lock in the water. Ideal moisturizers should not have perfume, anti-aging properties, or allergens. Hand creams are usually better than body lotions.

Protect others

  • If you can, stay home while you are sick, except to get medical attention
  • Cover coughs and sneezes with a tissue if possible and make sure to throw the tissue away. If no tissue is available, cough or sneeze on the inside of your elbow
  • Wear a facemask, if you are sick when going into public
  • Clean and disinfect frequently touched surfaces daily like, doorknobs, light switches, counter tops, handles, desks, phones, keyboards, toilets, faucets, and sinks. Make sure to use gloves when handling cleaning supplies

What steps should you take if you are sick?

  1. Stay home and avoid public areas and public transportation
  2. Separate yourself from other people and animals in your home
  3. Call ahead to your doctor and tell them you may have COVID-19
  4. Wear a facemask when you go to the doctor
  5. Cover your coughs and sneezes
  6. Clean your hands often for 20 seconds or longer
  7. Avoid touching other people
  8. Do not share personal household items and wash thoroughly when they are done
  9. Ask your healthcare provider to contact the health department
  10. If you have to call 911, let them know you may have COVID-19

What steps are we taking at Hauck Bros., Inc?

If any arise, we will keep you informed! Here are some steps we are implementing as of now for the safety of our employees and the customers we serve

  • We have instructed all employees to stop shaking hands
  • We have instructed all employees to cover coughs and sneezes
  • We have instructed all employees to stay home if they are sick
  • With a limited nationwide supply of face masks, we do not have enough to supply our employees at this time. When we do have a supply, we will wear when appropriate.
