Job Title: HVAC Installation Apprentice
Job Description: Full Time
Pay: $15-22/hr

Department: Installation
Reports to: Installation Manager
Typical Work Hours: 7:00am 3:30pm or until job is completed; evenings, weekends, overtime as needed.
FLSA Status: Non-exempt

POSITION SUMMARY: To assist with installations of heating and cooling systems to company standards, while providing the customer with a high-quality experience.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

•Insurable by Company insurance carrier
•Valid driver’s license with clean driving record
•Willingness to invest time in training seminars and classes
•Follow directions as given, written and verbal
•Basic Safety knowledge of tools and surroundings
•Safe use of ladders, no fear of heights or enclosed spaces, i.e. attics & crawl spaces
•Comply with ALL SAFETY RULES.
•Understand how to use a tape measure
•Arrive on time daily
•Demonstrate willingness to invest in tools used in the service of HVAC equipment
•Dress in a workmanlike manner
•Demonstrate mechanical aptitude
•Ability to use the hand tools of the trade, i.e. tin snips, hammer, handbrakes, drill, etc.)
•Unloading/Stocking supplies and Equipment
•Unloading/Loading truck
•Cut & drill holes
•Ability to fill out a daily time card accurately
•Be able to carry 100 pounds
•Insulate ductwork
•Build platforms
•Possesses both written and verbal English language skills
•Demonstrate willingness and commitment to developing customer service skills
•Acquire EPA certification within 3 months of entering position
•Complete a pre-employment drug screen

Job Title: HVAC Service Technician
Job Description: Full Time
Pay: $19-33/hr, Hourly rate depends on skill set, Residential HVAC experience, Commercial HVAC experience and types of HVAC units experienced in servicing. We offer a generous salary package, and top of the line benefits package.

Offering up to $4,000 Hiring Bonus for your Commercial HVAC service field experience!

Typical Work Hours: 7:30am – 5:30pm, Monday to Friday; additional hours necessary, until job is completed. Some evenings and weekends on occasion. Overtime required when needed.

Responsibilities:

  • Install and service compressors, condensers, evaporators, expansion and discharge valves, motors, temperature and humidity controls, fans, control panels, switches, fuses, filters, gauges, ducts, piping, tubing, and related components; residential, light commercial, and commercial service
  • Test and repair units by operating the systems; identifying malfunctions; repairing or replacing, parts, and components
  • Troubleshoot breakdowns; perform preventive maintenance
  • Available to work nights or weekends, on a rotating basis, to service emergency needs of our customers
  • Participate in company provided training opportunities on latest industry technologies
  • Excellent customer service skills with the desire to exceed customer expectations
  • Maintain safe and healthy work environment by following standards and procedures and complying with regulations

Required Qualifications:

  • 3 Years of Experience as a HVAC Service Technician
  • Universal Refrigeration License
  • High school diploma or its equivalent
  • Valid driver’s license with clean, insurable driving record
  • Must be able to pass drug test(s) as required by company
  • Well groomed, neat appearance
  • Lift up to 50 pounds; be able to push, pull, carry or maneuver heavier items (with additional manpower or appropriate devices); carry ladders; work from heights, work in small crawl spaces
  • Must be able to troubleshoot & service units, including controls
  • Gas, Heat Pump, Propane HVAC experience
  • Be familiar with a wide range of HVAC equipment and troubleshooting techniques.
  • Experience making repair and replace decisions.
  • Excellent customer service skills with the desire to exceed customer expectations
  • Maintain safe and healthy work environment by following standards and procedures and complying with regulations
  • Demonstrate willingness to accept responsibility and leadership roles.
  • Operate scissors and genie lifts in safe manner.
  • Read and understand basic electrical schematic diagrams.
  • Knowledge of air balancing principles and techniques.

Desired Qualifications:

  • 5+ years as a HVAC Service Technician
  • Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams and blueprints.
  • Experience working on Chillers and/or 25-ton + Commercial HVAC equipment.
  • Experience working on Boilers (hot water & steam)
  • Experience working on Geothermal and Oil HVAC Units
  • Knowledge of control systems (DDC, Prolon, Honeywell, etc.)
  • NATE certification

Required Qualifications:

  • Must have a valid driver’s license
  • Insurable driving record
  • Must have 3-5 years Residential change out experience
  • Proficient in installing round and rectangular duct
  • Able to measure ductwork and install all equipment accessories
  • Basic understanding of more complex sheet metal fittings
  • Can complete production homes unsupervised and on budget
  • Can complete simple low voltage connections on furnaces, air handlers and air conditioners
  • Must be able to communicate well with supervisors, builders and other trades
  • Maintain builder and sub-contractor relations
  • Ability to complete all necessary paperwork
  • Able to complete and follow through on change orders
  • Braze line sets
  • Must possess universal refrigeration license
  • Test line sets
  • Must be able to pass drug screening
