ABOUT PLAIN CITY, OH
We’re happy to be your hometown heating & air conditioning contractor!
Plain City is a village located in Madison County, Ohio along Big Darby Creek. As of 2010, the community was home to about 4,200 residents, and it is found at the junction of State Route 161 and U.S. Route 42. Plain City is found about 12 minutes from Marysville and is even closer to the neighboring community of Dublin. Plain City and the surrounding communities have a strong German heritage with unique architecture, and it was previously a notable railroad stop on a railroad line that connected Pittsburgh, Chicago, and St. Louis.
As a small community, there are only a few notable attractions located in Plain City. The community is home to Yutzy’s Farm Market, which is a great place to acquire some local produce, and outdoor enthusiasts may enjoy an afternoon at the Glacier Ridge Metro Park. The Eldchrist Winery is also a popular destination for sampling some unique Ohio wines.
Every July, the village plays host to the Miami Valley Steam Threshers equipment show held at Pastime Park, and this event features antique tractors, farm equipment, and steam threshers. Pastime Park also offers softball and baseball diamonds, camping, a short nature walk, playgrounds, and a public pool that is open during the summer months.
The varied weather patterns that move into Plain City at different points in the year will require residents make use of both air conditioning and home heating systems. Central air is needed to keep indoor temperatures comfortable while also improving circulating air quality by reducing allergens and dust, which is a great benefit for people suffering from allergies, asthma, and other respiratory conditions. During the winter, freezing conditions are extremely common, and while snowfall may be moderate, residents will want to invest in an energy efficient heat pump system or home furnace in order to keep interior conditions comfortable.
