About Xenia, OH - Happy to be your hometown Heating & Air Conditioning Contractor!

Located in Greene County, Ohio, Xenia is a city found in the southwestern portion of the state. It is the county seat and has approximately 28,800 residents. Xenia is located about 20 miles from Dayton, and historically, it is known for being a supportive location of the Underground Railroad in the years leading up to the Civil War. Xenia refers to itself as the “Bicycle Capital of the Midwest,” and it is the only U.S. city with a population over 5,000 residents that have a name starting with the letter “X.”

Xenia is home to several unique and notable attractions. Outdoor enthusiasts may enjoy a trip to the Narrows Reserve Nature Center, Berryhill Farm, or the Greene County Greene Ways. The Xenia Area Community Theater is also a nice, small venue for local performances. Auto racing fans may enjoy a trip to the Kil-Kare Speedway and Drag Strip, while golf enthusiasts may like to schedule a tee time at the WGC Golf Course.

Xenia residents will want to invest in both home cooling and heating systems in order to stay safe and comfortable throughout the course of the year. During the summer, temperatures are hot and humid, and with average highs in the mid-80s, conditions can become dangerous. Additionally, these can be difficult times for people suffering from allergies and respiratory illnesses, so investing in an efficient air conditioning unit can improve indoor air quality to make the season more livable.

During the winter, conditions tend to be quite cold, although snowfall is only moderate so the season tends to be relatively dry. While average highs during the day reach the mid-30s, nighttime lows fall below freezing, which can lead to dangerous travel conditions the next day. Without an efficient furnace system in place, Xenia residents could be placing themselves in a dangerous living situation, and it may be possible for pipes and plumbing work to freeze.
