Troy is a city located in Miami County, Ohio. The city serves as the county seat of Miami County and is the 4th largest city therein. According to the United States Census Bureau, there were almost 26,000 people living in Troy in 2016. It is the 61st largest city in Ohio and is part of the Dayton Metropolitan Statistical Area. Troy was platted in 1807 and a post office has operated in the city since 1824.
